The short version

What is 9K Club?

9K Club is a free browser arcade at club9k.org, and the club is written both ways — 9K Club and 9KClub. It runs one game, Reach 9: a 4x4 board where every tile carries a number, sliding pushes the whole board one way, and two tiles showing the same number merge into the next number up. Start at 1 and climb the ladder until you build the 9.

There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. The run you are playing, your best score and your club points are written to your own browser storage and stay on your device — 9K Club keeps no accounts and no profiles. Club points are a score, not a currency: they cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything at all.

New here? The how to play guide walks through a first run in four moves, and the game page covers scoring, combos and the tactics that get a board past the 7 tile.

FAQ

9K Club questions

What is 9K Club?

9K Club is a free browser arcade at club9k.org. It runs one game, Reach 9, a number-merging puzzle where you slide a 4x4 board and combine matching tiles until you build the 9 tile. The club is also written 9KClub, and both spellings mean the same site.

Is 9K Club free to play?

Yes. Reach 9 is free and there is nothing to buy. 9K Club has no paid tier, no in-game purchases and no payment details of any kind. Club points are a running score and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged.

Do I need an account to play?

No. There is no sign-up and no login at 9K Club. Open club9k.org and the board is ready. Your run, best score and club points are saved in your own browser storage, so clearing site data starts you fresh.

How do I win at Reach 9?

You finish the ladder by building the 9 tile. Tiles merge in pairs — two 1s make a 2, two 2s make a 3, and so on up to 9 — so reaching the top takes 256 starting tiles merged in the right order. Keep your biggest tile in one corner and slide towards it.

Does 9K Club work on a phone?

Yes. The arcade is built mobile first: swipe the board or use the on-screen pad. On a computer you can use the arrow keys or WASD. You can also add club9k.org to your home screen and it opens full screen like an app.

Is 9K Club a gambling site?

No. 9K Club is a puzzle arcade. There is no wagering, no deposit, no withdrawal and no prize. Club points exist only to track how well a run went, and they stay on your device.

Club points are a score, nothing more. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything, and 9K Club never asks for payment details.
