The club
About 9K Club
9K Club — also written 9KClub — is a small, independent browser arcade at club9k.org. One game, no accounts, no money, no advertising network following you around.
What the club is
9K Club exists to do one thing well: give you a good puzzle that loads instantly and asks nothing of you. The game is Reach 9, a sliding number-merge played on a 4x4 board, where matching tiles combine into the next number up and the goal is to build the 9 tile.
The whole club runs in your browser. There is no server keeping score, no profile, no leaderboard shared with strangers. Your run, your best score and your club points are stored on your own device and go no further.
What the club is not
- It is not a gambling site. There is no wagering, no deposit, no withdrawal and no prize.
- It is not a shop. Nothing is for sale, and no payment details are ever requested.
- It is not a social network. There are no accounts, profiles or messages.
- It is not affiliated with any other company, app or website that happens to use a similar name. 9K Club is club9k.org and nothing else.
Club points, plainly
Club points are the running total on the right of the scoreboard. They tick up as you score, they survive between runs, and that is all they do. They are not a currency and cannot be bought, sold, transferred, redeemed or cashed out. They exist so a long week of good runs shows up somewhere.
How the club is built
club9k.org is a static website: the pages are rendered once at build time and served as plain files, which is why they open quickly on a slow connection. The game itself is a few kilobytes of JavaScript running on your device. There is no tracking script and no advertising network on the site.
Who to talk to
The club is run by a small team. If you have found a bug in the board, have a suggestion for the game, or want to ask about anything on this site, write to hello@club9k.org and a person will read it.
